You can translate audio sources output from terminal speakers.
- Usage Scenarios
・Want to use translation in conjunction with other conference tools(Zoom,Teams, etc.)
・Want to translate video sites or audio data, etc.
- Create a new chat room or join an existing room.
- Specify the language of the speaker audio on the right side of the[
]in the upper left of the screen, and click[
].
- When the "Select content to share" dialog box opens, click the image displayed under "Entire screen" to select it (it will be enclosed in a blue frame), check the box on the left of "Share system audio" at the bottom, and click [Share].
When the message "onyaku.info is sharing your screen and audio." appears at the bottom of the screen, the setup is complete.
- Please note that if you click [Stop sharing], you will not be able to capture audio even if it is not muted on the app.
- It displays "Sharing screen and audio," but in reality, only audio is shared, and there is no screen sharing function.
(This message is displayed due to PC hardware specifications, and we cannot control it, so it may be misleading. We apologize for any confusion.) - Be sure to select the "Entire screen" tab. (If you select "Chrome tab" or "Window," system audio will not be recognized.)
- Check if the microphone is in an available state (yellow green microphone).
If it is muted (blue slashed microphone), click to make it available (yellow green microphone). - Click the hamburger menu (≡) in the upper left.
- Check the box on the left of [Translate for myself] and specify the target language you want to translate into.
- Confirm that the speaker audio (audio played on the computer) is being transcribed and translated.
