If speech is not recognized even when the microphone or speaker icon is turned on
Please first ensure that microphone access is allowed in your browser settings. If audio is still not recognized even after granting permission, please check the following points.
① Open Control Panel on your PC, then go to Hardware and Sound → Sound.
② If the microphone does not recognize audio, open the "Recording" tab. If the speaker does not recognize audio, open the "Playback" tab.
③ On each screen, please ensure that the device actually recognizing audio (the device whose level meter moves when sound is input) matches the device set as the “Default Device.” (Right-click the device that is actually recognizing audio and set it as the default device.)
In addition, open the hamburger menu in the upper left of the Onyaku room and confirm that the default device is selected under “Please select a microphone.”
If recognized speech is not translated
Please configure the language settings according to the examples below.
① If you want to translate transcribed English into Japanese by turning on the microphone or speaker
Open the hamburger menu in the upper left of the room and confirm that “Translate for myself” is turned ON and that the language is set to Japanese.
② If you speak Japanese and the other person speaks English, and you want to translate the other person’s English into Japanese (both users are in the same Onyaku room and using microphones)
Normally, English will be translated into Japanese if your microphone is set to Japanese and the other person’s microphone is set to English. If translation does not occur, open the hamburger menu, turn ON “Translate for myself,” and set the language to Japanese.
Additionally, please note that the service will not function properly if your contract period has ended or if you have exceeded your usage limit. In such cases, please feel free to contact our sales representative.
