Create a new chat room and validate your microphone to start using ONYAKU.
If you want to reserve a chat room in advance, please refer to the following article.
Reserve a chat room in advance
- Open ONYAKU and log in to it.
- Click [Create]
- Select [Your language (the language you speak in the meeting)], enter [Your name (the name displayed in the chat room )], select [Transcript engine], and then click [Start].
- Confirm that the chat room screen is rightly displayed as shown below.
- Click the [Mute] icon (Blue pictograph of a microphone with a slant line over it ) to activate your microphone so that ONYAKU starts its speech-to-text transcription - the activated microphone icon is displayed in yellow green.
- If you get the dialogue window as shown below, click [Allow].
- A gray microphone icon with a slant line over it indicates that the system is in the process of network connection or you have reached the upper limit of ONYAKU use (or your contract has expired). If this status persists, please check the network you are using and the use duration under the contract.
- In the chat room, you can type in text messages as well.

- As for the translation function, please refer to [How to use translation function].
- If you need to switch your microphone to another, please refer to [How to switch microphones].
- If you get the dialogue window as shown below, click [Allow].
- To close the chat session, click [Leave] icon in the upper right corner. You may close the browser as well to end the chat session.
- For the way of downloading the chat history, please refer to [How to download log data of the said comments and their translations in a CSV format].
- If your default settings done at the commencement of your contract do not include auto-log recording function, please make sure that you manually download the log data (in a CSV file) before closing the chat room as you cannot download the log data once the chat session is closed.
- When you click [Leave] icon before downloading the chat log in a CSV file, the following message will be shown.
If you do not need to download the log data, click [OK].
- When all users leave the chat room, the chat log data will be completely deleted.

Both the host and the guests will see the following pop-up on the screen after the time set by the administrator has elapsed since they entered the chat room.Please note that if there is no operation for 600 seconds, you will be forcibly exited. If you have not subscribed to the "Save History Data" option, you cannot download the history after exiting, so please be careful.
